2020 has been a fraught and challenging year for us all, and the travel industry was of course among the worst-hit business sectors as Covid-19 spread around the world.

Now the development of vaccines brings fresh hope for the New Year. Compared with the cost of the pandemic in terms of the many lives lost, restrictions on travel are insignificant.

Nevertheless, those of us who love to visit new countries and meet new people look forward to being able to do so again as the vaccines are rolled out. They say you don’t truly appreciate something until it’s not there any more, and that’s how many feel about travel.

Hopefully we’ll all soon be able to rediscover the thrill of arriving in a country for the first time and immersing ourselves in a new culture. In the meantime, we’d like to thank you for your continuing interest and support.

We hope you have a great Christmas and a prosperous – and safe – New Year.
