Dear , thanks for your interest in Afaranwide.
Buddhist treasures: As journalists we attend press conferences now and then. Sue's just been to one on behalf of Afaranwide and reports next week on an extraordinary woman who has won a sort of Asian Nobel award. She has devoted her life to preserving 2 kms of caves in China that are packed with exquisite Buddhist art. Now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Sue has a new addition to her must-see list...
Afaranwide's first post about one of our favourite countries, Vietnam, describes our holiday in the tourist town of Nha Trang. It's a great place to visit, and grows on you as your time there goes by, but unfortunately we can't find all of our photographs. If anyone's got some, we'd happily post them.
Our second new post this week, the latest in our hotels section, is about that venerable Singapore institution, Raffles. It's just reopened after an extensive refurbishment, and Sue recalls her first vist there when she was 20.
We've redesigned the Places page, the one that lists all our posts and has links to them. We've streamlined and simplified it so it loads faster and is easier to use. Let us know what you think!
Keep in touch with what we're up to by liking our Facebook page and following us on Twitter and Instagram. Every page and post like, share, retweet, etc. really helps as we build a social media community around Afaranwide.
A reminder – please add us to your email safe sender's list. This process, also known as whitelisting, will ensure you always receive the newsletter. There have been a few cases where it's ended up in a subscriber's spam box.
We’d love to know what you think of Afaranwide – please email us.
